IT'S BEEN A WHILE

The Index page on the website broke and while they are trying to figure it out I'll be writing on the old blogspot.
We watched the movie "Nebraska" tonight and it was rather depressing. Maybe hit a little too close to home. I think the old couple were older than us but not by too much. Bruce is 77 and born in Chicago. June Squibb is 84. We have some oldtimers here at the Oasis Country Club in Palm Desert. I tell Dolores that I'm not going to walk like that, the slow gait hunched over walk, and she told me to keep exercising and stretching. I also noticed that I'm putting some poundage around the midsection that I can't seem to lose. I blame it on the broken arm.
Denny and Brigid Crosby are buying a new motorhome getting ready to hit the road with their 4 dogs.
We are visiting Karen Vedder toward the end of the month. She is getting over a bout with bloodclots.
Maybe we can have a NileHi luncheon in late April. Iris is our organizer.
It seems all of the academy award nominated pictures were heavy and depressing, maybe not Gravity or American Hustle. We didn't see "Her" yet.
I'm not looking forward to returning to Chicago in early May. The weather has been spectacular out here on the desert. Next year we will stay until June.
 That's all for now.
