I PASSED
1969 was the last time I had taken a classroom course and taken tests. Recently, partially out of boredom and partially the need to earn more income, I took the real estate course to become a broker. 90 hours in 2 weeks was a heavy load in a class of mostly 30-40 year olds. What to expect, could I still read and retain? After the first week there was a test and I passed. After the 2nd week another test and I passed that. This only qualified me to take the big test (Illinois State Real Estate Test). I studied like never before and this past Monday took the 3 1/2 hour test. I finished and then went through it again. When the tabulations were done I saw this big PASS at the top. Was I happy. Now the fun starts. I like to meet people and what better a line of work than real estate. We showed a condo last night and I had to bite my tongue seeing the condition it was kept. My heart wasn't into trying to convince this young couple how happy they would be in this $750,000.00 home. I'm glad they passed on it. I hope future places will show nicer.
